Is spending $600 on a 2001 ford Taurus's radiator worth it?

I was driving home today, when all of a sudden smoke was coming out of my cars hood. When we brought it to our mechanic, he said it had something to do with the anti freeze and my radiator.

Get it fixed, get good tires and drive it.
