Having trouble starting a rebuilt boat motor.?
I recently rebuilt a 1989 johnson GT 150 outboard and encountered a problem. The new piston rings are so tite that the starter will barely turn the motor over. If i can get the thing to start maybe they will loosen up. What im asking is has anyone ever
Before installing the pistons should have honed to the correct tolerance. Out of the box, I've seen really tight pistons. That's why I had a machine shop fit the pistons. in fact one of the first shops that I used that bored cylinders for oversize
