Male Perspective - Relationship Advice from JBI really love my man but his stroke game is soooooooooooo terrible. He gets mad when I pull out the vibrator. His feelings are really starting to get pretty irrelevant to me as far as that’s concerned. He’s threatened to leave me if I don’t stop using it. I feel like he can go if he feels threatened by a piece of plastic. My family and friends think I should just stop using it and spend the rest of my days horny and unsatisfied. Sex therapy has not worked and neither has utilizing Kama Sutra techniques. I haven’t cheated on him, but he is delusional and feels like the vibrator is only a stepping stone toward doing so. ~Bevyn

I don’t understand why some men get so bent out of shape when a woman uses a vibrator. If men can hold a one man puppet show (aka: masturbate) then it is only fair that a woman should be able to hit that high C with her magic stick! I’ve always believed that masturbation is just a part of human nature and everyone should do it.

Now if your man underperforms more in the sack than an ’86 Station wagon draggin’ main street, then that’s a big problem! Sex isn’t everything in a relationship, but if neither of you are firing on all cylinders during the forbidden act, then there is always going to be a strain on it. It’s only a matter of time before you find a boy toy on the side to satisfy you sexually because it sounds like he is not going to change if sex therapy hasn’t worked. You need to ask him how many times a week he masturbates (and I can guarantee he does at least once, regardless of what he tells you!) and then compare it to your frequency. You can’t live your life feeling unsatisfied all the time and if he doesn’t get it done for you, maybe you should think about parting ways because it is only a matter of time before you consider cheating on him.

If you met a woman and really, really liked her, how many previous partners would you say are too many for her to have had prior to you? ~Rayne

Well, I don’t want to be with a woman who would look like a porcupine if she had as many things poking out of her as she had in her!  For me, the cut off would be around 5.  I do want a woman who is experienced, but not too experienced!  I’ve been with only a few women from past relationships and don’t want my girlfriend or future wife to think I was easy.  I also believe in the ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy.  However, that topic always seems to come up in a relationship and if a woman tells me that she has been with more men than Wilt Chamberlain has been with women, it is a big turn off for me.

Why do women get paid less at their jobs doing the same things that men do? Not to sound like a bra burner, but come on! I get paid almost $15,000 less per year than my male counterparts who do the exact same job. I just found out about it last week after having worked there for 3 years and I’m so pissed off, I’m about to hire an attorney and sue their asses! ~Dana

First of all, you shouldn’t take this case to court because I’m sure it would probably get thrown out. There have probably been hundreds of cases brought to court regarding women’s wages/salaries vs. men’s and I’m sure that nothing was resolved. Your situation is something that has been going on for a very long time and it is unfortunate. We live in a society where both men and women participate equally in the work force and it should only be fair that both sexes get paid comparably for the same job.

What you should do about your situation is talk to your boss about it.  See if there really is a logical explanation why you are making less than your male co-workers or if this is an act of sexism.

Why do men say ridiculous things during sex like “I love you” or “I want you to have my baby”?   That totally turns me off. I don’t wanna have your damn baby!  ~Mahari

A guy might say these things during sex because he may think it turns you on, since women want to feel wanted, needed and have a strong sense of security. Nothing says that more than “I love you” or “Be the mother of my child”! I’ve never said either one of those phrases during sex before and I would have to kick my own ass if I ever said to a woman, “I want you to bare my children”!

For the most part, it depends on how needy and feminine the guy is.  If he spends more time in the bathroom getting ready than you do, then that’s a good sign he is probably pretty needy or insecure (or both!) and you should brace yourself for what he says in the heat of the moment!

When men cheat, why do they always cheat with somebody that’s below the standard of the girlfriend? She’s usually unattractive, has bad skin, she’s the city whore, unemployed, sloppy fat or something else really bad. What’s up with that? ~Elise

Men do have a tendency to do that!  Just take a look in Hollywood at the celebrities who cheat on their drop dead gorgeous wives with women who could stunt double for Danny Devito!  I think it’s because women who are sub par are easy targets and guys figure they won’t have to work as hard to get some.  It’s also because men are programmed to procreate and so it only makes sense to try and mate with as many different females as possible.  In my opinion, cheating boils down to the excitement with having sex with someone different, regardless of their looks.  I tell ya one thing though, if my wife looked like Eva Longoria, I would definitely be limiting my deposits to her bank only!
