why is google redirecting me when i try to search something?

like the other day, i tried to look at my school website and it kept redirecting me to a home improvement company. its been doing it for the past couple of days. or it will take me to other search engines.
help me please!

i've had this problem as well, easy solution really, Control panel>>>Uninstall a program>>>Error filtering program(or somthing along those lines)>>>uninstall.
