Old oil in a two stroke engine causing it to not run properally?

Ive got am older oil injected two stroke dirtbike, the bike has been sitting for 5 years, I drained the old gas but not the old two stroke oil, would this cause the engine to not function well? The bikes engine seems to struggle when I have it going higher

I would start with a new spark plug first and go from there. The oil wouldn't make it miss. Probably sitting for that long isn't good on it either,just ride it for a while it will probably come out of it.
